Regency Ceiling Panels in Melbourne at F. Vitale & Sons
The designs of these panels comes from the English Regency period (loosely 1795-1830). It was a period of great opulence and some stunning design that although opulent was of such quality that it transcended "gaudiness" and looked stunning.
Because of the restrained elegance of their ornamentation, large panels can be used in relatively small room, and still look appropriate.
At F. Vitale & Sons Plaster Products, we stock a selection of Regency ceiling panels in a delightful range of delicate, subtle designs. These panels are usually flush mounted that is the flat surface of the panel is flush with the surrounding plaster. However as is so often the case where personal taste is concerned some people prefer to surface mount them, an example can be seen in the Regency Gallery.
They provide any room with a touch of class, even looking good in contemporary homes.

This is our largest Regency panel. It is supplied in 6 pieces, four corners and 2 center piecse.
In a large room it looks very impressive but the fineness of the detail means it will not overpower its surroundings.
It is usually installed flush with the ceiling but can be surface mounted on top of an existing ceiling.
There are some photos of it in the Regency Panel Gallery.
CP2260

Width: | 2,740.00 mm |
CP2260 is a fairly large square panel that looks great in a square room.
The flat centre area can be left plain or another feature can be added, see the Regency photo gallery.
CP2262
Length: | 2,440.00 mm |
---|---|
Width: | 1,220.00 mm |
Ceiling Panel CP2262 is a very useful oval shaped panel.
It can be used at a wide variety of ceiling heights. At 2.7 metres it is quite a forceful panel but at 3.6 metres it is quite restrained.
Oval panels work well in distinctly rectangular rooms. If the room is not that far off square it is probably better to use a square or circular panel.
CP4579
Length: | 1,820.00 mm |
---|---|
Width: | 1,200.00 mm |
Panel CP4579 is a rectangular panel with a distinctive trumpet motif in the corners.
It works best at ceiling heights between 2.7 and 3.3 metres. It can be used at 3.6 but the trumpets tend to fade into the background which tends to lose the whole point of the panel.
It is a distinctive and unusual panel that provides an uncommon point of interest in any room.
